- Emergency procedures
If any boarding dog becomes seriously unwell, immediate treatment will be sought with the owner’s vet or my registered vet at the owner’s expense. The client will be notified or the second contact in the event that the owner cannot be contacted. If a dog becomes injured on a walk, then the dog will be taken to the owners’ vets if possible if not to my registered vets. The owner will be contacted or the second contact in the event that the owner is unavailable. All costs will be met by the dog owner. I am first aid trained and I will administer first aid where necessary prior to taking the dog to the vets for treatment. I keep both a canine first aid kits in my kitchen area, clearly on display and also in my car. If for any reason, my boarding licence becomes revoked, then all clients will be notified and any client who has a dog boarding at the time of being revoked, will be asked to collect their dog.
